How does it work?
Our InSite Forwarding service acts as a proxy, making requests to your Forums.net forum while appearing as a part of your website to end users.
This means your forum can appear at www.your-website.com/whatever-you-want, so that search engines see your forum as a part of your existing website, even though it's hosted in the cloud.

Here's what you'll need:
Access to the back-end of your website
Perl 5.8.8+
Perl Modules
LWP::UserAgent (and all dependencies)
LWP::Protocol:https (and all dependencies)
Apache with mod_rewrite

Here's how you'll install it:
We will provide you with a Perl module to download and install
You will then create a .htaccess file in the same directory, and paste the code we provide you into this new file
You will then setup a location on your website for your forum to be loaded from, for example www.your-company.com/forum
In this folder you created you will place a Perl Script that we provide to you and set its permissions

How is InSite Forwarding actually done?
InSite Forwarding is really a small script
that you install on your server and setup to
run from a URL that you choose, for example,
www.mysite.com/forum. This script acts as a
proxy to your Forums.net forum, so that all
requests that are made to that URL are routed
directly to our servers. In essence, this makes
your forum available at both your normal Forums.net
URL and the URL at which you installed the InSite
Forwarding script. When setup properly, your forum
will look for all the world like it is just another
section of your website.
I'm not a professional developer, can I still install it myself?
Yes! We have made setting up InSite Forwarding as easy
as possible, and in-depth technical knowledge is not
required. If you get confused or stuck at any time,
you always have the option of purchasing a developer
setup call to have one of the members of our experienced
development team help walk you through the process

How much does it cost?
